Open course on Twitter on open access
The aim of this course is to disseminate concepts and basic concepts about open access, with a simple and informative language, providing a panoramic view of good practices, initiatives, standards and tools to publish, disseminate and preserve both publications and the data generated in the framework of an investigation: an open initiative, especially directed to researchers and PhD, master and postgraduate students, and also to all those who have interest. This training will be done in micro-MOOC format, through Twitter; it will have a duration of five days - from 23 to 27 October - and it will be given every day at 12 o'clock by @moocmicro and labeled #OAMOOC.
The contents of the micro-MOOC will be disseminated daily for about half an hour with about twenty Tweets. Each day a different theme will be treated with articles, images and videos, among other resources. Since it will be announced by Twitter, it is recommended to follow @moocmicro account. There will be the possibility to comment by mentioning this account and including #OAMOOC. Once the course is finished, the contents will be collected in Storify: the link will be shared in the same Twitter account.
This micro-MOOC has been coordinated by the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) - within the framework of the Open Access Week and the UOC R & I Meeting Days cycle - with support for the drafting of the contents of the University of Barcelona, the Autonomous University of Barcelona, the Polytechnic University of Catalonia, the Pompeu Fabra University, the University of Girona, the University of Lleida, the Rovira i Virgili University, Ramon Llull University, the University of Vic - Central Univerity of Catalonia and Jaume I University. The Consortium for University Services of Catalonia (CSUC), the European University Association (EUA), the Ligue des Bibliothèques Européennes de Recherche (LIBER) and SPARC Europe also collaborated.
