Symposium in universities, innovation and territory

Organized by the Institute of Economy of Barcelona (IEB), with the collaboration of the Catalan Association of Public Universities (ACUP) and the Foundation Knowledge and Development (FCYD)

Dates: September 15th and 16th, 2011

The aim is to analyze the contribution of the universities to the economic development and to the regional innovation. Nowdays, there is no doubt that universities play a fundamental role in the capacity of innovation of a territory and, in consequence, in its productivity and economic growth. The symposium will analyze the different ways of transfering knowledge between universities and companies, and the policies that can favor the contribution of the universities to the territorial development.
